Musically inclined in his youth and inspired by a family full of artists; CAZH is the culmination of musicians and poets expressing love in a vast, colorful array.
Born in Phoenix, Arizona with paternal Sonoran roots stemming from the Mescalero & Chiricahua Apache tribes; mixed with Mexican heritage. Uniquely blended with the Irish hailing from Bradford. Maternally a descendant of the Brittons of England & Scotland and ancestral ties to Sweden, Germany and France. CAZH sees himself as the epitome of modern America. He credits "the melting pot" for his dynamic range and complex artistry.
The youngest of 5, his family moved often in his early years to the likes of Oregon, Washington (state), California, New Mexico and finally back home to Arizona. His later adolescence and teen years spent in the East Valley saw CAZH dive deeply into the skateboarding, graffiti and music scenes across the state.
Joining a few short-lived bands and picking up guitar classes in high school, he finally put his life-long poetry obsession to use. Initially, he wrote mostly acoustic music but quickly expanded to genres like EDM, hip-hop and punk.
In 2013, he released his first mixtape "Trials & Tribulations" under the pseudonym "Average." a month before graduating high school. A year later dropping another titled "S.O.A.L: Something of a Legend" and adjusting his name to "AVG." While in community college, he pivoted and rebranded as "CAZH". A homage to his signature graffiti tag. He then began collaborating with AZ artists such as Sincerely Collins, JusX Justice, B.Formless, Gastro (+more) and linked with Romee B out of California.
Steadily releasing singles, projects, graphics and performing showcases locally was building a buzz. He started receiving booking offers across the US and garnering international attention through his digital network. He now boasts a team of engineers and creatives across the globe but has kept it 100% independent.
The project "XONE: Dark Daze End" was dropped in 2017 on SoundCloud with some of the popular tracks like "Trippin", "ASSA$$IN" & "MAKING MOVES" being distributed to all major streaming platforms. Making a splash, CAZH racked up over 200,000 streams across the web.
Founding his own private record label "X1Y 369 Records" in 2019; he continued to release singles. He has yet to drop a studio album after all this time but 2021 brought us his well received "Run the Dash EP: The Astral Adventures of CAZH".
Continuing to jump in and out of the cypher, he has progressively launched a few singles while teasing his long-awaited album. He may not have the same level of notoriety and his reclusiveness hasn't built him a huge fan base... but nonetheless, CAZH has promised to keep pushing art to the nexus.
Driven by the love of life and the emotion of motion; CAZH is channeling WAVs to move people with rhyme and reason. Tune in and lose yourself to the sound of Spirit!
